Reflections from SM 3 at Kauhava
The season's first pass in over a year at the SPTR Summer Nationals SM 3 in Kauhava - and it stayed short. The converter slipped on the dyno, went to TH Matic for a fix, and we barely made it to the track. The car launched to a 7.834 at 269.85 km/h, but cylinder 8 burned the piston and rod into a melted mess. Game over for this round. Motopark SM 4 is six weeks away.
Dyno day at AJ-Tech - the converter slipped
Nova on the dyno at AJ-Tech. Tuning barely got going before the converter started giving up and slip climbed to nearly 30 %. Just over 1900 hp at the hub, then the converter came out and went to TH Matic. A rerun before the Kauhava race.
One more time - rebuilding the Supernova engine
The Supernova's engine gave up in the Motopark final. A rebuild that dragged across the winter, surprises and all - and last Saturday it sang again. Dyno on July 3rd, sights set on the SM 3 race at Kauhava.
